Carrie Holiman


Carrie Daisy Holliman, 88, of Russellville, AR died January 13, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Russellville.

She was born November 7, 1907 to the late Zachary Taylor and Tennessee Ember Huffstutler Dennis. She was a former resident of Danville and Ola and was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ola Chapter, a member of the Ola Pioneer Study Club and Ola Extension Homemakers and she was a member of the Fair Parks Baptist Church in Russellville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Albert Holliman and a granddaughter, Julia Ann Holliman.

Survivors include: three sons, Ott and Charles of Russellville and Dennis and wife Sherry of Castro Valley, CA; two daughters, Patsy Holliman of Russellville and Frances Kay Simpson of Austin, TX; sister-in-law, Geneva "Gen" Dennis of Russellville; three grandsons, Charles, Jr., Gregory Lynn and David Holliman and a granddaughter, Celeste Holiman and Pauline Carol Filler of Boulder, CO; three great-grandsons, Christopher Holiman, Patrick Holiman and Zachery Filler and one great-granddaughter, Dana Filler.

Funeral service was held January 16 at the Cornwell Funeral Chapel with Rev. George Domerese officiating. Burial was in the Sandlin Cemetery at Ola.

Honorary pallbearers weremembers of the Petit Jean Masonic Lodge 298 Ola.

Lelia Mae Holliman, age 53, of Dardanelle died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at her home.

She was born August 19, 1957 at Oakland, California to the late Ray William and Roberta Ruth Bartholf Henriksen.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Christopher Holliman.

Survivors include her first husband and close friend, Donald Holliman; three sisters, Pamela Akins of Dardanelle, Earlene Crabtree and husband Dennis of Oklahoma, Laura Tarkington and husband Roger of Dardanelle; two brothers, Robert Henriksen and wife Peggy of Dublin, Georgia, Donald Henriksen of Dardanelle; many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Mt. George Cemetery.

Randy Hollingsworth

Randy Eugene Hollingsworth, 56 of Tontitown died May 11, 2013 in Tontitown.

He was born August 7, 1956 in Springdale to Alvin and Faye Helen Stuffelbean Hollingsworth. He was owner and operator of Hollingsworth Trucking and was an avid fisherman and motorcycle rider.

He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Patricia Hollingsworth, brother, Bobby Hollingsworth and nephew, Nathan Farris.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jones Hollingsworth of the home. Three daughters, Gina Little and husband Nick and Charley K. Stephenson both of Springdale and Lyonette Carpenter and husband Matt of Havana, AR, brother Rick Hollingsworth of Springdale, his three best friends, Dennis Phillips of Elm Springs, Charlie Farmer of Springdale and Ray Martin of Alabama and his two grandchildren.

Memorial service was May 18, 2013 at Sisco Funeral chapel of Springdale.

Bonnie Marie Redwine Hollis


Bonnie Marie Redwine Hollis, known as "Meemaw" by all family and as "Miss Bonnie" or "Bonnie" by everyone else that knew her, won her Victory to leave this temporary place and enter the Lord's Kingdom on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the age of 91. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 2, 2015 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home located at 1321 N. 7th Street, West Monroe, Louisiana. Bro. Don Delukie and Bro. Travis Bookout will officiate. Eulogy will be given by Jimmy Redwine. Interment will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton, LA. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.

Bonnie began her life on March 13, 1923, in Yell County, Arkansas. She was the sixth child of James Leroy and Illa Mae Reeves Redwine with four sisters and two brothers. While the children were still very young, the family moved to Tensas Parish, Louisiana, where many of them lived and worked most of the rest of their lives. As a young woman, Bonnie moved into the nearby town of St. Joseph, the Parish Seat of Tensas Parish, where she lived, worked, raised her family, and cared for family and friends until moving to West Monroe, Louisiana in 1994, to be closer to family. Bonnie was a dedicated Christian who served the Lord every day of her life. While in St. Joseph, she attended the Church of Christ with many friends. Once in West Monroe, she attended the Jackson Street Church of Christ with family and many other friends. Bonnie was a strong lady and believed deeply in the Word of The Lord as evidenced by her life and the love, care, and attention she gave to all her family and new acquaintances she soon after called friends.

Preceding Bonnie in death were her parents, all sisters and brothers, husband Josh "Jack" Hollis, sons-in-law, Don R Wood and Frank Gipson, daughter-in-law, Connie Fredrick Allen, and "raised like a grandson", Jake Redwine. Bonnie leaves, to cherish her memory, her son Rollie F. Allen, Jr. and Wife Cindy of Lafayette, LA, her daughter Dianna Wood Gipson of West Monroe, LA; her "raised like daughters" Marsha Pace and husband Wayne of Prairieville, LA, and Leann Bounds and husband Steve of Vicksburg, MS; her "raised like a son" Jimmy Redwine and wife Kaye of Georgetown, TX; 6 grandchildren - Ricky, Shannon, Paula, Jay, Mike, and Mandy; 13 great-grand children; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and dear friend Ms. Liz Dennis of Monroe.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Redwine, Ricky Wood, Shannon Wood, Taylor Wood, Byron Matherne, Jr., and Jimmy Davis.

A very special thank you to all of the Doctors, ICU Nurses, and care-giving staff at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Dale William Hollon, age 45, of Morrilton passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at his home.

He was born January 10, 1970 in El Paso, Texas to Alvin Joe & Patricia Cherrito Hollon. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Barbara Hollon.

Survivors include his children, Ashley Baxter of Clarksville; William Hollon of Danville; Patrick Hollon of Plainview; Mark Hollon and Matthew Hollon of Louisiana; step-daughter, Christina Robert, grandchildren Reagan, Alysha, Krystianna and Michael and special friend, Teresa Roberts.

Martha Ann "Brown" Holloway age 75 of Delaware died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center.

She was born September 10, 1935 at El Dorado to the late Leslie and Kathleen Snuggs Brown. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dardanelle.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jeffrey Allen Holloway; one step daughter, Vickie Lee Holloway Pepper.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Holloway of Delaware; two daughters, Kathleen Emerson Walls and husband Jeff of Phoenix, AZ, Rebecca Emerson Owers and husband Jon of El Dorado; one step son, Jerry Webb and wife Cookie of El Dorado; one brother, Snuggs Brown and wife Belinda of El Dorado; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held 12:00 P.M. March 16, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Altus with Father Hilary officiating.

Otis "Tee" Holloway


Otis L. "Tee" Holloway age 93 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his home in Rover.

He was born October 20, 1920 in Greenbrier, Arkansas. The son of Marvin L.& Eva Jane Holloway. He served in the U.S. Army during World War 2.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Cumbie, Gene and Kenneth Holloway; sisters Lucille, Luda and Polly Holloway.

Survivors include wife, Gracie Blankenship Holloway; sons William & wife Irma; Carl & wife Kay; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was saved on October 3, 1953 and served as Deacon at Cheney Baptist Church in Kansas.

Visitation will be Saturday April 5, 2014 at Rover Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m.

Nola Holman

Nola Holman, age 87, of Russellville died Saturday, March 2 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville.

She was born June 26, 1925 in Rover, Arkansas to the late H.A. and Sara Ann Smith Hall. Nola and her late husband, F.C. owned and operated Holman TV and Appliance for over 20 years. Later she became a caregiver, working not only in Arkansas but in Texas also. She was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Russellville and a beloved mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, F.C. Holman, brothers, Jim, Everett and Hubert Hall, sisters, Bertha Hall Reeves and Dovie Hall McCurry.

Survivors include children, Garry and Brenda Holman, Elmore City, Oklahoma; Frank and Joyce Holman, Lincoln; Rowena and Bill Campbell of Booneville; Delinda and Don Brewer of New Blaine; Shannon and Shea Holman of Hagarville, 9 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Services was March 5, at the 1st Baptist Church in Danville with Brother Bobby Walker and Brother Clayton Sheets officiating. Burial was Earl Ladd Cemetery, Danville.

Pallbearers were Rick Spears, Brent Holman, Rodney Brewer, Steve Young, John-Michael O'Mara and Spenser Faught. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Brown, Denny Ackers, Bob Hope, Bill Holman, Bob Holman, Seth Freeman, Jeff Brewer, Phillip Brewer and Mike Brewer.

Geneva Nell "Nita" Holmes age 78, of Casa died Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born March 11, 1938, at Jourdanton, Texas to the late William R. and Inez Tompson Smith. She was a member of the Birta Missionary Baptist Church, she loved gardening and watching her horses and the PBR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Carl Holmes; three children, Coy Holmes, Billy Holmes and wife Janey, Teresa Bewley and husband Randy; grandchildren, three grandsons, Travis Bewley, Clay Bewley, Joshua Holmes; four granddaughters, Jaclyn Bly, Lindsy Waters, Jordan Holmes, Magan Holmes; great granddaughters, Arabella Robinson, Imberlyn Bly, Hannah Bewley; sisters, Margie Eldridge and brother-in-law, Hugh Eldridge; brother-in-law, Kenneth Davenport and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bobby Alexander officiating. Burial was in Needmore Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.

Pallbearers were Travis Bewley, Clay Bewley, Joshua Holmes, Keith Waters, Kevin Irwin, Kenneth Davenport.

Honorary Pallbearers included Corey Mellon, Robert Elder.

DARDANELLE - Glenn D. Holmes, age 83 of Paris, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013. He was born on Dec. 1, 1929, at Amity to the late J.L. and Viola Partridge Holmes. He was of the Baptist faith, a retired plant manager for Tyson Foods in Dardanelle and a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Bettye A. Holmes; a brother, Roy Ray Holmes; Bandit his beloved dog; and close family friends for more than 40 years, Floyd and Grace McGee.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Holmes of Paris, Texas; one son, Mike

Holmes and wife Peggy of Russellville; one stepson, Richard Ussery of McKinney, Texas; one stepdaughter, Barbara Petty of Mesquite, Texas; two brothers, Willie Joe Holmes of Nebraska and Archie W. Holmes and wife Maggie of New Mexico; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be, Clayton Palmer, Triston Rowley, Mike Bruhn, Andy Holmes, Tony Holmes, Derek Rowley and Phillip Palmer.

Honorary pallbearers will be members from the Vietnam Veterans, Legacey Veterans motorcycle club chapter A Delaware, Ark.
