D. Ralph Harris, a retired Ola businessman, died Jan. 5th in the Yell County Hospital. He was a member of the Ola Methodist Church and a Mason.

Survivors include three sons, Lathelle Harris, Roy Lee Harris and Crownover Harris all of Amarillo, Tex; four daughters, Mrs. R. B. Chitwood of Lake Village, Mrs. George Goltry of Muskogee, Okla., Mrs. Leon Courtz of Ola and Mrs. Vernon Ford of Eudora; three brothers, Erskin Harris of Belleville, Seth Harris and Roy Harris of Upland, Calif. and a sister, Mrs. Albert Lowery of Hot Springs, 17 grandchildren and five great grand-children.

Mrs. B. J. Harris

Mrs. B.J. Harris, 37 of Mendenhall, Miss., died in a hospital at Jackson, Miss, following an extended illness. She was the former Dorothy Lou Madole, a native of Danville and a graduate of Danville high School.

She is survived by her husband B.J. Harris; two sons, Baynon Harris Jr. and John Beryl Harris of Mendenhall; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Madole of Jackson.

Funeral services were held January 27 at Baldwin Chapel in Jackson by Rev. W.C. Fulghum.

He was born July 29, 1981, in Fort Smith to George William and Sheila Cooper Harris. He was a truck driver and a member of the Mt. Moriah Church in Waldron. Jason loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family.

Sandra Jo "Nichols" Harris, age 53, of Danville died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Legacy Heights Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born December 31, 1960 at Washington, D.C., to George Thomas and Eula Mae Hood Nichols. She was a Christian, loved reading, watching movies, nature walks and animals. She was preceded in death by her father, George Thomas Nichols.

Survivors include her mother, Eula Hood Nichols of Little Rock; one son, Justin Harris of Little Rock; one daughter, Anna Marie Reddin of Washington State; two grandchildren, Angel and Bentley.

Wanez E. Harris, 82, of Dardanelle, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at Dardanelle Nursing Center.

She was born Dec. 28, 1922, at Homewood, Ark., to Robert E. and Bertha Ida Fowler Robertson. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard "Chig" Harris; a son, Billy Harris; a daughter, Betty Robertson; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Darrell Nuckols, Faye and Clyde Parks, and Karen and Kenny Ford, all of Dardanelle; two brothers, Tom Robertson of Mountain View and Charlie Robertson of Gould; three sisters, Ruie Holderfield of Illinois, and Winnie Leamon and Mary Louise Worthington, both of Mountain View; six grandchildren, Kacey Johnson, Tonya Tippit, Bradley Nuckols, Tarin Underwood, Zach Underwood and Nathaniel Ford; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Shinn Chapel with Bill McClure officiating. Burial will be in Casa Cemetery at Casa under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be Clyde Parks, Kenny Ford, Darrell Nuckols, Bradley Nuckols, Zach Underwood and B.C. Rankin.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff at the Dardanelle Nursing Center; Dr. Kelly Meyer; and Mrs. Harris' grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 7-8 tonight at the funeral home.
