Elbert Lee Frost, 75, of Mount George (Yell County), a retired farmer, died Tuesday. Frost was a veteran of World War II. Funeral was Wednesday at Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle, by the Rev. Darrell Ray. Burial was in Dale Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Goldie Frost; two sons, Glen Frost and J.C. Frost, both of Mount George; three daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Mills of Mount George, Mrs. Gwendolyn Talkington of Dardanelle and Mrs. Sherry McCoy of Ola; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

James Frost

James Frost, aged 68, of Ola, a farmer, died Saturday at a Little Rock hospital. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a native of Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mryl Gordon Frost; three sons, Bill Frost of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Donald Frost and Jesse Frost, both of Wichita, Kans.; a daughter, Miss Shirley Ann Frost of Ola; an step-daughter, Mrs. Dean Steward of Horse Cave, Ky.; seven brothers, Bill Frost of Bluffton, Elmer Frost of Paragould, All Frost of Benton, Ed of Edna, Mo., John of Arcata, Cal., Otto Frost, Rector and Tim Frost of Sparkman; and nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Lora Frost

Mrs. Lora Evelyn Lewis Frost, aged 71, of Gravelly died at Booneville Saturday evening. She was born in Searcy County and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her husband, William of Gravelly; five sons, William Frost of Ola, Chester and Perry of Pittsburg, Tex., Lester of California, and Leroy of Gravelly; three daughters, Mrs. Effie Hammons of Checotah, Okla., Mrs. Rosa Vaughn of Briggsville, and Mrs. Irene Broadstock of Danville; one sister, Mrs. Effie Frost of Benton; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday at the Danville Assembly of God Church by Bro. Burris of Ola and Bro. Greer of Danville.

Lou Frost

DARDANELLE - Lula Mae Frost, age 83, of Russellville passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Stella Manor Nursing Center in Russellville.

She was born July 23, 1929, at Havana to the late Silas Dogan and Callie Owens Barnett. She was a member of the Restoration Church, a mother and grandmother. Lou loved to garden, plant flowers and feed the birds and squirrels in her yard. Her whole life Lou had a personal relationship with her lord and savior and one of greatest enjoyments was getting to read her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Bill" Frost; one daughter, Lora Evelyn Frost; four brothers, James, Lawrence, Loyd and Don Barnett; two sisters, Pat Abbot and Mary Rainey.

Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Tucker and husband, James, of Russellville and Sandra Bradley and husband, Alan, of Dover; four grandchildren, Nikki Bellar of Pottsville, Natasha Tucker of Fayetteville, John Paul Hickman of Morrilton and David Hickman of Abbingdon, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, Nathan Hickman of Atkins, Callie Bellar of Russellville and Braden Bellar of Pottsville; and one great-great grandchild, Laelyn Bellar of Russellville.

Funeral service will begin 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Euel Nordin officiating and Alan Bradley reading the obituary. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Cornwell Chapel. Interment will be in Brearley Cemetery at Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Hickman, John Hickman, Braden Bellar and David Birge. Honorary pallbearer will be Sgt. David Hickman.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral was today at Briggsville United Methodist Church. Burial was in Briggsville Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle.

William VanDyke Frost, age 79, of the Mt. George community died at a Dardanelle hospital Wednesday, May 12. He was a native of Mt. George, a son of the late Thomas K. and Mary Rogers Frost and a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas Frost and Ray Frost of Mt. George and Leo Frost of Little Rock; two daughters, Mrs. Macie Thomas of Little Rock and Mrs. Minnie Jones of Scotland; one brother, Jess Frost of Mt. George; two sisters, Mrs. Lena George of Mt. George and Mrs. Ola Dean of Belleville; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Mt. George Church Thursday with Rev. David Ward, pastor of the Mt Tabor Church, officiating.

Burial was in the Mt. George Cemetery.

Mrs. C.L. Fry

Mrs. C.L. Fry, wife of Rev. Fry, Gravelly, died at St. Mary's hospital early Monday morning following a heart attack 16 days ago at her home. Mrs. Fry was formerly Miss Jennie Blacklege, one of the children of Captain Woodrow and Hester Blacklege, Clay City, Ill.

The funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at ten at the Russellville Methodist Church with Rev. J.M. Harrison, pastor of the Waldron Methodist Church officiating. Burial in the Oakland Cemetery.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Paul Fry, who is employed at Hope on the Hope Journal; and one daughter, Mrs. Lonus Caserday, Russellville; and four grandchildren.

Orville Franklin Fry

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow in the First Baptist Church of Tehachapi for Orville F. Fry, 60, of 519 East F Street, Tehachapi, who died April 11. The Rev. Dexter Ogan will officiate and interment will be in the Tehachapi Cemetery.

Mr. Fry was a native of Gravelly, Ark. He married Bonnie Beeson on June 3, 1941, in Ardmore, Okla. He served with the merchant Marines during World War II. He taught school as a coach and business and mathematics in Oklahoma and junior high in California. He operated a resort in Oklahoma and was the manager of a children's clothing shop in Ardmore. He was a member of the Lions Club in Ardmore. He taught at the Four C's Business college in Bakersfield. He was employed at Cal Portland and Monolith. The past few years he was a distributor for Watkins Products in Bakersfield. He was the head usher and Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church in Tehachapi.

In addition to the widow, survivors include a son, Phillip of Newport Beach; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Grubb of Fresno; 2 brothers, Ernest of Santa Barbara, and Hilary of Hayward; 3 sisters, Mrs. Gladys Gilley of Manhattan, Kans., and Elene Findley and Imogene Fry, both of Santa Barbara; and 4 grandchildren.

Pall bearers will be Berlie Wright, Jim Nobles, L.A. Gooding, Everett Sims, Larry Welch and Coy Blair. The J.W. Sams & Sons Funeral Home, Tehachapi.
