Charlie L. Woodard

Charlie L. Woodard, aged 89, passed away December 6th at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Floy Brown of Little Rock. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons; C. H. Woodard of Whittier, Calif., T. A. Woodard of Riverside, Calif., and Lloyd V. Woodard of Glenwood; four daughters, Mrs. R. C. Moore of Longview, Tex., Mrs. Charlie Davis of Ola, Mrs. Lee Simon and Mrs. Floy Brown of Little Rock, fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 11:30 a. m. Dec. 9 at Drummond Funeral Chapel in Little Rock with burial at Union Hill Cemetery near Waldron.

Jeanell Woodard

Edith Jeanell Woodard, age 91, of Danville died Friday, March 1, at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville.

She was born November 20, 1921 in the Waltreak Community, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Jacob Ernest and Delta Lee Bailey Pool. She was a cook for the Danville Grill, which her parents owned for over thirty years. People came from all over Arkansas to taste and buy her pies. She was a very special mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Tate.

Survivors include sons, James Ernest and Jeanette Black, John Lowell and Jeanne Baker, Danny Lee and Patty Woodard all of Danville. She also left behind five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nephew, Mitch and Retha Tate of Danville and niece, Nancy and Mark Feldman of Harrison, one great-nephew and two great-nieces, three great-great-nephews and one great- great-niece.

Services was Monday, March 3, 2013, 2 PM at Cornwell Chapel in Danville. Burial was in Earl Ladd Cemetery.

Grady L. Woodard


Grady L. Woodard, age 75, of Danville, died Thursday afternoon, February 17 at the Yell County Hospital. He was a native of Scott County, a retired farmer, a son of the late John and Lizzie Pollard Woodard and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Winnie Sipes Woodard; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Fowler, Mrs. Bernice Ward, and Mrs. Lorene Tredwell all of Danville; five brothers, M. E. Woodard of Waldron, Artie Woodard of Danville, Jake Woodard of Louisiana, Johnny Woodard of California and Earl Woodard of Louisiana.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Landmark Baptist Church Saturday afternoon by Rev. Luther Riddle. Interment was at Chalybete Cemetery.

Arrangements and services were in care of Cornwell Funeral Service.

The services were conducted by Rev. Geo. Owens, and burial was in the Blue Ball Trinity Baptist cemetery.

Pall bearers were: Joe Woodall, Ray Horn, Vesscy Gamer, Guy Watson, Virgil Woodall and Coy Graham.

Funeral services were held at the Landmark Baptist Church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was in the Earl Ladd Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Edna Fowler, Mrs. Bernice Ward and Mrs. Lorene Tidwell all of Danville; three sisters, Mrs. Della Pollard of Waldron, Mrs. Lizza Woodall of Danville, and Mrs. Zettie Woodall of Ola; nine grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Danville Landmark Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Luther Riddle officiating. Interment was at the Chalybeate Springs Cemetery.

Arrangements and services were in care of the Cornwell Funeral Service.

He was a retired farmer, son of the late Joshua and Margaret Jackson Woodward, and a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida Hillard Woodward; three daughters, Mrs. Ora Lee Knowles of California, Mrs. Dolly Wilson of Fordyce and Mrs. Mary Lou Berry of California, a stepson, Billy Hatley of Pauls Valley, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. J.W. Walker of Perryville, 20 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday at the Plainview Assembly of God Church by Rev. C.R. Young and the Rev. Tom Miller. Burial was in Carter's Chapel Cemetery by Gardner Funeral Service.

Bobby Woods, 78 of Russellville, AR passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Johnson County Health and Rehab in Clarksville. He was born March 11, 1941 in Steele, Missouri to Lawrence Woods and Florence Rainey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings.

He is survived by his Niece, Tonya Samuels & husband Roy; great nephew, Dustin Samuels and other nieces, nephews and family.

Bobby, known as Uncle Bob, loved to drink his coffee and watch Wheel of Fortune. He especially loved to sing in church on Sundays.
