DANVILLE, AR -- WILLIE A. WILLETT, 97, of Danville, Arkansas, and Joiner, Arkansas, died Monday at Danville Nursing Home. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis has charge. She was a charter member of the Wilson (Arkansas) Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Joiner Baptist Church.

Mrs. Willett, the widow of T. R. Willett, leaves a son, Paul J. Willett of Danville, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Tommy Lee Willhite, son of Peggy Willhite Rogers and stepfather Eugene Obar, was born December 24, 1960 in Crawford County, Arkansas. He departed this life March 17, 2014 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 53 years, 2 months and 21 days. He was united in marriage to Sandy Marlow on May 24, 1980 in Ola, Arkansas. He spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he was employed as a boliermaker, He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years: Sandy Willhite of the home; three sons: Tommy Joe Willhite and wife Ashley of Marmaduke, Arkansas, Michael Willhite of Phoenix, Arizona and Jimmy Willhite of Violet Hill; his mother: Peggy Rogers of Melbourne; two brothers: James Ritchie of Alma and Tony Ritchie of Springdale; three sisters: Caroline Templin of Colorado, Teresa Casey of Ozark and Glenda Flanigan of Mulberry, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Remi Willhite and Jace Thomas Willhite; several in-laws; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his stepfather: Eugene Obar.

Graveside funeral service will be Thursday, March 20 at 2:00 pm at Violet Hill Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19 from 6-8 pm.

Pallbearers: Johnnie Neal, Jason Sherrell, Tim Hoskinds, Carroll Schrock, Rodney Hutchins, Tony Ritchie.

Carol Sue "Peggy" Williams

Carol Sue "Peggy" Williams, age 79, of Danville passed away Thursday May 7, 2015 at her home.

Peggy was born May 4, 1936 in Scotland, Arkansas to the late Thomas Ray & Dorthy Dunsworth Swain. She was a clerk supervisor for the Arkansas Department of Health. She loved watching sports especially tennis, and loved going to the horse races. She was a loving and caring woman who always wanted to give rather than receive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Kylie Williams; grandson, Greg Hall; sister, Patsy James.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years Hap Williams; son, Kevin & Pat Williams of Dardanelle; daughters, Karen Williams of Danville; Kim & Gary Brookshear of Lavaca; grandchildren, Kelly Williams of Dardanelle; Kayla (Kevin) Crow of Bella Vista; Kyle (Abigail) Brookshear of Van, TX; Stephen Abbott of CN; Ashlynn Abbott of CN; Jon (Sarah) Hall of Washington State; great-grandchildren, Kylie Shyanne Ashcraft; Garrett Jackson; James & Olivia Crow; Emma & Delaney Hall; brothers, Ronnie (JoAnn) Swain of Atkins; Jerry (Louise) Swain of Morrilton; Donnie (Brenda) Swain of Fayetteville; sister, Sharon Vinson of Atkins and several nieces and nephews

Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Danville Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. W.A. Gorman officiating. Burial was 4:30 p.m. at Mt Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation was 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Curtis A. Williams, age 71, died at his home on Chickalah Mtn. April 19. He was a retired farmer and cattleman and was the son of Dow and Eva Haney williams of El Dorado.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Madden Williams; two sons, Duane of Russellville and Durell of Napa, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two aunts, Mrs. Willie Goodwin of El Dorado and Mrs. Georgia Dumas of Wichita Falls, Tex.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Harold Hall at the Free Will Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. Interment was at the Mountain Springs Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Donald Bulman, Bennie Madden, Buck Allen, Roger Horn, Douglas Foster and Rev. R. D. Hester.

Services were in care of Cornwell Funeral Service.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Chance; one son, Dennis Gililland; one step-son, Scott Williams and one step-daughter, Kristie Williams.

Funeral service was June 14, 2013 at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Danville with burial at Lower Spring Creek Cemetery in Belleville under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.

Pallbearers were grandsons. Honorary pallbearer was Robert Merriweather.
