Danny Farrow

Danny Eugene Farrow age 83 of Belleville passed away Sunday March 16, 2014 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville.

He was born July 14, 1930 in Belleville, AR to the late Glen & Libby Madden Farrow. He was retired from the Air Force after 23 years of service and a member of the Danville Freewill Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, son, Ronald Eugene Farrow, brothers. Tommy and Charlie Farrow.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years Louise Pledger Farrow; step-mother Willa Emma Farrow of Belleville; daughters Candis Sandaine of Danville; Lisa Harris of Danville; adopted daughter #3 Monica Farrow of Dardanelle; sister Glen Dale Duncan of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren Ashley Olson and Traci Olson both of Danville; nephews Billy Tom Duncan and Charlie Duncan both of San Antonio, TX; Allan Farrow of Russellville; nieces Natalie & Emma Farrow of Delaware, AR.

Memorial service will be set at a later date.

Mrs. Fanny Farrow

Mrs. Fanny Fern Farrow, 85, of Booneville, died in the Booneville City Hospital January 23.

Survivors include two sons, Fay Leon Madden of New Orleans, Barnett L. Madden of Farmington, N. Mex.; three daughters, Mrs. Alene Cole of Little Rock, Mrs. Nelura Payne of Richmond, Calif., Mrs. Velma Bailey of Booneville; two brothers, Tom Barnett of Califomia, Ruel Barnett of Kansas; two sisters, Lillie House of Holdenville, Okla. and Sallie Madden of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial were at Upper Spring Creek January 25. Ministers were Rev. Norman Carter and Rev. Hoyle Haire.

Willa Emma Farrow

Willa Emma Farrow, age 90, of Belleville, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born June 9, 1927, in Belleville, Arkansas to the late Hugh & Lula Bell Ingram George York.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen Farrow; son, Charlie Farrow; three infant brothers, Hugh, Norman, and Warren; one infant sister, Ruby, one infant half sister, Bessie George; two brothers, James York and Joe York; one sister, Helen Cline all of Belleville.

Survivors include her son, William & Shelba Mitchell of Belleville; daughter, Willa Mae Adair of Belleville; sister, Rebecca Duncan of Belleville; Anna Budlong of Danville; grandchildren, Ricky Adair Jr of Fayetteville; Janice Ham of Belleville; Robert Mitchell of Dardanelle; Allen Farrow of Center Ridge; Natalie & Emma Farrow of Delaware and Marisa Mitchell of Belleville; one grand dog, Brown Dog; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was 10 am on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Upper Spring Creek Cemetery with Bro. Mark Gower officiating. Visitation was 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Ricky Adair Jr, Robert Mitchell, Brandon Mitchell, Ricky Hamrick, Ramiro Alonso, and David Kimball.

William A. Farrow

William Aldine Farrow, aged 78, a resident of Booneville for the past 15 years and a former resident of Danville, died at a Booneville hospital Saturday. Mr. Farrow was a native of Georgia. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Fannie Farrow; two sons, Leon Madden of New Orleans and Barnett Madden of Farmington, New Mexico; Three daughters, Mrs. Glendon Cale of Little Rock, Mrs. Mahon Payne of Richard, Calif., and Mrs. Darrell Bailey of Boonville; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Barbara Faught

Barbara Faught, age 72, of Fort Smith, passed away Tuesday, March 31st at Mercy Hospital of Fort Smith. She was the wife of Bill Faught. Barbara loved her life and will be dearly missed by family, former students and friends.

She was born Barbara Jane Pugh on February 25, 1943, daughter of Ruby Nell (Whitten) and W.T. "Dub" Pugh, postmaster and owner of the general store in Rover. Barbara attended Rover/Plainview High School where she played basketball. She continued pursuing education and love of basketball at Arkansas Tech in Russellville, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Education and played offense for the basketball team.

She married Bill Faught, originally of Plainview, in 1965. After having three children, Tammy and twin sons Kevin and Keith, she earned a Master's degree in Education from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1972.

Her husband's career in city management led them to Ashland, Kentucky, and Bartlesville, Oklahoma, before settling in Fort Smith in 1982.

Barbara taught business courses at Northside High School from 1982 until her retirement in 2005. During that time, she helped place countless students in jobs in Fort Smith and for several years directed the COE (Cooperative Office Education) Program, sponsored Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), served as pep club sponsor, and supported Northside Athletics. She also owned and ran businesses, including Baskin Robbins and Snelling Personnel. Determined and strong, she successfully battled breast cancer in 2003.

After retirement, Barbara remained active, coaching her oldest granddaughter, Whitney's basketball teams. She loved following her granddaughter's high school basketball career and was looking forward to continuing being her biggest fan at Lyon College. She was active in organizing the Northside High School Retirees meetings, was an avid Razorback fan and formidable bridge player. She was also a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Smith.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, W.T. and Ruby Pugh of Rover, and her brother, William "Bill" Pugh of Paris.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill Faught; daughter Tammy O'Dell, her husband Phil and granddaughters Whitney and Julianne of Fort Smith; son Kevin Faught, his wife Melanie and grandsons Charlie, Brady and John Tyler of Fayetteville; and son Keith Faught, his wife Breanna, and grandson Andrew of Fayetteville.

Funeral services were held on 10:30 am Friday, April 3, 2015, in Roebuck Chapel at First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. Private burial will be at a later time at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Hazel Faulconer

Hazel Faulconer, 99, of Ola, died Friday, November 23, 2018, at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. Born January 11, 1919, in Plainview to Lloyd A. and Minnie Mercer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Faulconer; two brothers, Sonny and Bill Mercer; a sister, Sue Scott; and an infant child, Frank M. Faulconer.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Burgess; a brother, Jimmy Mercer; two sisters, Ina Dixon and Dorothy Young; two granddaughters, Amanda Stanley and Pamela Hebert; and two great-grand- children, Kaden and Avery Hebert.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the Shinn Chapel with Pastor Gary Harvey officiating.

Burial will be in Sandlin Cemetery in Ola, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Visitation is Monday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

David Lee Faulk

David Lee Faulk, 73, of Hughson, who collapsed yesterday in an Empire cafe, was pronounced dead on arrival at Scenic General Hospital.

He was the father of 14 and grandfather of 45.

Funeral services are pending at the Sains Brothers' Funeral Chapel, Modesto.

He had been a resident of Hughson for 12 years and attended the Freewill Baptist Church of Hughson. He was a member of the Empire Sportsman Club.

He is survived by his widow, Cora Faulk; his children, Burl Nadine Harshfield of New Mexico, Harold David Faulk of Alaska, Terry Reese Faulk. Jimmie Dale Faulk, and Donnie Ray Faulk, all of Oregon, Nola Rebecca Barkley, Oklahoma, Betty June Morris and Fern Irene Hall of Tracy, Kenneth Wayne Faulk and Charles Wendyl Faulk, both of Hughaon, Wanda Joy Woolard of Manteca, Larry Neal Faulk, Modesto and Judy Ann Dunn, Livingston; a sister, Irene Gillian, Palos Verde; 45 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Benny Lee Faulkner

Benny Lee Faulkner, 69, of Casa died Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born July 28, 1946, in Morrilton to Thurman Layan and Bethel Teel Faulkner. He was a member of Slaty Crossing Free Will Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family, church family, and friends. He was a Mason and an avid fox hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carolyn Robinson; and a brother, Bobby Faulkner.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gayle Faulkner; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brett Faulkner and Bradley and Kim Faulkner, all of Casa; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and B.C. Rankin of Birta; eight grandchildren, Nikki, Jesse, Tyler, Kylee, Kennedy, Brandon, Gracie and Emma and four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Aleigh, Kian and Brylee.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Slaty Crossing Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Denver Robinson. Burial will be in Needmore Cemetery in Casa and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Visitation was Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Mike Robinson, Troy McConnell, Fred Jones, Joe Dishongh, Brad Clay and Gary Adaire.

Honorary pallbearers will be Doyle Claypool, Luther Hance, Clay Robinson, Alan Faulkner and Rick Raney.
